no illusion

The portable air conditioner malfunctioned, filling the already warm room with hot air.
We had no choice but to sleep downstairs, on the couches.
This is not the adventure it was when we were younger and had more flex in our muscles.

This morning is without illusions.
We are tired and sore and breakfast must include plenty of caffeine and something sweet.
