Unraveled Wednesday

There has been a fair amount of unraveling around here.  Some of it even involves yarn.  On Monday I began a new project with some lovely yarn.  I was making progress, a very soothing and easy to memorize pattern.  I need to do 15″ for the first section and about 2″ along, I noticed a mistake.   I could not figure out what happened, tried frogging back, but then gave in and unraveled.  I am back on track, in fact my edge stitch looks even better so it was a good thing.

I got the audio version on Anne Lamont’s new book.  I have been to hear her speak numerous times but I can’t get to this book talk.  I enjoy hearing her read her books.  I also got a new book for our tiny person.  The preschool teachers at my school really like this Easter book.

It is a short week and spring break begins on Friday.  I am in need of a break and some time to tidy up a few things that have been unraveling around here.  Be sure to visit Kat today for more Unraveled Wednesdays.

Mondays in the kitchen – H2O

I have quite a collection of water bottles.  I keep a 20oz cup on my desk at work.  And every morning I fill one of my pretty water bottl s to take in the car – a lovely orange HydroFlask, a Mount Ranier bottle that was a gift from my sister, and my newest addition, a Lifefactory glass water bottle.  I make every effort to drink 64 or more oz. of water every day.  And while I like plain water, I also like to jazz it up a bit.  My favorite combo, a slice of lemon, a slice of lime, some fresh orange juice, and a chunk of ginger.  As we move into spring I will add some frozen cranberries or blueberries, apple slices, and maybe even cucumber to my water bottles.

How do you make sure to drink your water?

Sunday stitches

March was not a month for finishing things on my #17ufosin2017.

I made progress on my Orange cardigan and pulled out my Cuppa blocks for some more prepping.  I did finish two pair of baby pants, three donation hats, and started a few new projects.

I am hopeful that I will have a few finished at the end of April.  For now,

I am pleased with making progress.h

Hello April

Will you be gentle?  Or at least slow down the roller-coaster we have been riding the last few months?

I am hoping to cast on and get walking with the Healthy Knitter (I don’t have much success keeping up with knit-alongs but I am going to give it a go).

I have plans to eat well.

I am not going to join the very invitng journaling and creativity challenges that launch this month but I am looking forward to Just Five Things.

I am looking forward to some color – a Fitbit replacement, perhaps a new Bible.

Spring break is the next row on the calendar, Easter is coming, and my birthday wraps up the month.  I am hopeful.

Thanks Carole and Kat for the invitation to welcome a new month.
