I have a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out) this week. The Edinburgh Yarn Festival is happening and my instagram feed is blowing up with wonderful photos of yarny adventures. This is definitely on my bucket list.
The weather has been amazing and I have been watching spending more time outside and watching the mailbox. At some point over the last month, I fell down another rabbit hole and found myself adding an embroidery sampler to my bucket list (and my shopping cart). I hope to choose my threads and start stitching this weekend.
Then there are these beautiful folios – which I will not be ordering since I already have too many notebooks and these shoes which I might be ordering so I can get back to the trail.
What are you dreaming about today?
- Trying this yogurt because so many antibiotics means it is time for some probiotic repair.
- Falling into this book – only about 25 pages in but I would love to sit here and read the day away.
- Caving in and casting on a shawl with this yarn because it is orange and was a gift from my sister.

No unraveling here but there are books. I read about In Praise of Difficult Women in the paper and ordered a copy right away. I am only just starting but I know it will be a good read. I picked up this book and this book at the library this week. I am still Listening to Educated and just downloaded The Paleo Cure.
So yes, there are books in my life right now and since the rain is returning, there will be knitting.
These little feet, usually so busy, stomping and moving and in motion. What a treasure to watch them at rest. It’s all about balance, right? Love these tiny, tiny moments.
What a wonderful weekend we had. Yes, we lost an hour but the sun was out, the skies were blue, and it was warm enough to begin digging in the garden. I was able to turn the soil in my raised beds and get some of the debris cleaned up. It will be awhile before any planting can happen but the planning has begun.
I continue to make progress on my Birkin. But I can’t stop browsing Ravelry and thinking about casting on something new.

I don’t currently have a lot of rituals. I tend to take life on day at a time. But I could use some rituals in my life. Some spaces of pause and intentionality.
This the last year, I have begun to drink more tea and I am trying to build an evening ritual around a relaxing cuppa. I had forgotten about this little teapot. When my daughter gave me a tea subscription for Christmas, I dug deep into the cupboard and pulled it out. There is a mesh insert which makes it perfect for a single serving of loose leaf tea. Last week I remembered that I had some sweet little teacups so they too have been unearthed. Do you see how this ritual is developing? My current tea is a lavender chamomile, a very gentle evening tea.
I have another small teapot that I think I will take to work. A tea time ritual at my desk would be a lovely addition to my work day.
