A finished sweater and three books

I finished my Birkin last night and it is blocking now. I tried it on so many time as I was knitting it and I think this will be a go to sweater. I almost gave up when I read the many comments about the fit being off. I was almost finished with color-work so I kept going and I am very pleased with the results.

Now, reading time. I have three Books and need help deciding which will be up next. One is an audiobook so I could do two at a time but I also have a non-fiction audiobook I wanted to start. Want to help me choose?

This one that is waiting at the library, or this one that has been waiting on my Kindle, or this one that is on the PBS Great American Read list.

Be sure to visit Carole for more three things posts today.

  1. Congratulations on a finished Birkin! Can’t wait to see you in it. Love the colors you chose.

All of those books look great. The only one I’ve read is Confederacy of Dunces and that was decades ago. I may need to re-read that – I loved it.

  2. That looks like a lovely finished Birkin! I’ve only read one of those books, This Is How It Always Is, but I loved it. A transgender child is the main character, but it’s really about an accepting, loving, and protective family.

  3. I am waiting for This is How it Always Is! It is my knitting matches your book cover square! And, go you on that sweater finish!

  4. YAY for the finished Birkin! I’m so glad you hung with it 🙂 I have no thoughts on any of the books, but I have the Julian Barnes on my TBR (and I wish I had Kat’s book, too, for that same reason – those colors are awesome!)

  5. I would go for the Julian Barnes . . . because I pretty much love everything he writes. 🙂
I can’t wait to see your blocked-and-modeled Birkin — and would appreciate any fit tips, as I’m planning to knit one, too. Have a great weekend.
