One word – March

This month I have been learning to rest my monkey mind. I have been using the Calm app for daily meditation practice and I have learned so much.

My brain is in need of this rest-filled practice. How is your word showing up?

  1. Meditation is such a great way to manage the monkey mind! I’ve been practicing meditation for several years now (I use the Insight Timer app), and find that it really does help me. So glad you’re finding rest . . . through meditation. XO

  2. Glad to hear that meditation is working for you. I keep thinking I will meditate…but so far I’m not….I do have the Insight Timer app on my phone, but will take a look at the Calm app.

  3. “Monkey mind” is such a great term for it; it’s definitely something I struggle with from time to time, especially during times of high stress. I haven’t done any formal meditation, but when it happens (often when I’m trying to sleep), I’ve been fairly successful with focusing on my breathing and gradually shutting everything else out.

  4. The article you referenced is great! Thanks. I always begin the morning meditating…I think I will up that practice to at least 2 other times during the day! I’m using the Breathe app on my Apple Watch to help me pause…
